I can tell you why it's important
It enriches your with more knowledge
Knowing what something means in other languages is very important
It enables you to communicate
And actually know what poeple are saying to you

The action of translating will surely inhance your ability to recognise new vocabulary and perhaps guess what they mean from the content of the text or the speach

Translation (subtitles) in movies on the other hand are even more useful
When watching a movie with subtitles, we unintentionally focus on the subtitles as the movie continues to play
Still, we are able to recognize the meaning of new words from the subtiles
Therefore, subtitles play a major role in the learning process


Thats all I got so far

Translation in short words is the action of changing words from one languageto another without changing its meaning. It can be beneficial in many factors. The person who is translating something can be rewarded for doing what he wasasked to do. Another person could enrich his knowledge by reading a text thathad been translated. Still, translation is somehow considered as an art. For itinvolves a lot of choices to make between words and effort being made whilegathering all those choices to make one coherent paragraph. Translation isincluded in our studies in order to improve our performances in our languagestudies. It is very beneficial when we are traveling to a foreign country orwatching a movie that is not of our own language or even speaking to aforeigner
